In anticipation of snow and ice, the Town of Mooresville will close all non-emergency services and locations on Friday, January 10, at 1 p.m. On Saturday, January 11, town offices and facilities will open on a delayed schedule at 12 p.m.
The Town has implemented an incident action plan to coordinate responses across departments during the winter weather event. Mooresville Fire-Rescue and Police Department teams are prepared to handle emergencies such as traffic accidents, downed trees and power lines, stranded vehicles, and frozen pipes.
Streets crews have already started brining roads and will follow up with salt application to enhance safety. Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads if possible, remain prepared, and follow good safety practices during the storm.
