Statesville, NC – A narcotics investigation led by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 514 Concord Avenue, culminating in multiple arrests and the confiscation of illegal substances.

The investigation began following reports from concerned community members about suspicious activity at the residence. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team conducted surveillance and gathered intelligence, ultimately identifying Michael Lee Pettit as a primary suspect in alleged drug-related activity.

During the course of the investigation, undercover officers reportedly conducted controlled purchases of crystal methamphetamine from Pettit, providing evidence that led to a search warrant for the property. Upon executing the warrant, law enforcement secured the residence and seized approximately 31 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with various items of drug paraphernalia.

Following the operation:

  • Michael Lee Pettit has been listed as wanted on multiple felony drug charges.
  • Ashley Nicole Woodhull and Michael Kevin Vanname were taken into custody and are facing drug-related charges.

Sheriff Darren Campbell emphasized the role of community involvement in crime prevention, stating, “When citizens report concerns, they play a crucial role in keeping their communities safer. We encourage anyone who suspects illegal drug activity to report it anonymously through the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office mobile app or by contacting our office directly.”

Authorities continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspected criminal activity as investigations into illegal drug operations remain ongoing.
