Statesville, NC – Water service has been restored and Davie Avenue has reopened in Statesville following repairs to a water main break that occurred on July 29, 2025. The incident was caused by a contractor installing fiber optic cable in the same area where a similar break occurred the previous day.
The break prompted the temporary closure of Davie Avenue from Euclid to Park Street and led to a temporary water shutoff for customers in the affected area. Water Maintenance crews responded quickly to begin repairs and restore service.
