by | Jun 13, 2025

Iredell County, NC — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests and identified a third suspect following a breaking and entering incident that occurred last week in eastern Iredell County. This update follows an earlier report regarding the June 5 break-in, which was initially reported by a homeowner who was out of town.

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, deputies responded to a residence in eastern Iredell County after the homeowner contacted authorities upon receiving an alert from their home security system. The homeowner observed two individuals inside the home via surveillance footage. The suspects were seen taking items from the property and leaving in a silver passenger vehicle.

Deputies arrived at the scene shortly after the call but found the suspects had already fled. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators began collecting evidence, including images of the suspects and the vehicle, provided by the homeowner.

The case was assigned to Detective C. Rogers, who conducted interviews with neighbors and potential witnesses. Through the course of the investigation, the suspects were identified as Brandon Samir Adams, 18; Daylan Grant Hallman, 25; and Fred Cox IV, 23—all residents of Statesville.

  • Brandon Samir Adams was arrested on Wednesday, June 10, and charged with Two Counts of Felony Breaking or Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering, and Felony Conspiracy. He appeared before District Court Judge C. Marlow, who set bond at $75,000 secured.
  • Daylan Grant Hallman was arrested on Thursday, June 12, and charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Felony Conspiracy. He was held without bond per the order of Magistrate Imes.
  • An arrest warrant is still active for Fred Cox IV, who is charged with Felony Conspiracy. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 878-3180.

Sheriff Darren Campbell expressed appreciation for the members of the community who shared information that assisted in the investigation. The case remains active, and investigators say additional charges may be forthcoming.
