On June 26, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Charlotte Highway in Troutman involving a vehicle occupied by Travis Presnell, 44, of Mooresville, and Elizabeth Elliott, 43, also of Mooresville.
During the stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, and oxycodone.
Presnell was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
Elliott was charged with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances. She was issued a $2,500 secured bond.
Both individuals were taken into custody.
