On the evening of July 31, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in Troutman involving a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Louis Segreit of Charlotte.
During the stop, officers discovered Segreit was in possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed firearm. Further investigation revealed that the pistol had been reported stolen from Greenville, South Carolina.
Segreit was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of marijuana. He was taken before a magistrate and issued a $5,000 secured bond.
