Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests in Stolen U-Haul Case

On January 18, 2024, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Charlotte Highway involving a U-Haul truck reported stolen from Greensboro. The vehicle was being driven by Brandon Allen, 29, of Durham.

Three additional occupants were identified as Larry Avant, 40, of Burlington; Justin Albright, 40, of Burlington; and Susan Wilson, 35, of High Point.

Arrests Made:

  • Brandon Allen: Arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, and outstanding warrants from Alamance County. He was issued a $51,000 secured bond by an Iredell County magistrate.
  • Larry Avant: Arrested for numerous outstanding warrants from Wake, Alamance, and Mecklenburg counties. He was ordered held without bond.
  • Justin Albright: Arrested for outstanding warrants from Wake County. He was also ordered held without bond by a magistrate.
  • Susan Wilson: Arrested for outstanding warrants issued by Alamance County. She received a secured bond of $1,000, as preset by an Alamance judge.
