Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Hickory Man on Drug and Weapon Charges

November 9, 2025 – Troutman, N.C. – A routine traffic stop early Sunday morning by the Troutman Police Department led to the arrest of a Hickory man on multiple charges, including drug possession and carrying a concealed weapon.

According to Troutman Police, officers conducted the stop around 1:35 a.m. on South Main Street near Cedar Lane. During the investigation, a passenger identified as 30-year-old Brock Towery of Hickory was found to be in possession of cocaine and brass knuckles.

Towery was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was taken before a magistrate and denied bail, as he was already out on bond for other charges in Catawba County.

The Troutman Police Department reminded residents that routine traffic stops are an important part of keeping neighborhoods safe and encouraged anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to report it to authorities.
