TROUTMAN, N.C. — On May 28, 2025, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on Charlotte Highway in Troutman for a moving violation. The vehicle was being operated by Brien Moore, 35.
During the stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. According to authorities, the search led to the discovery of a concealed Ruger pistol that had been reported stolen in Gaston County, North Carolina.
Moore was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed handgun. He was taken before a magistrate, who issued a $7,500 secured bond.
The case remains under investigation.
