Tony (Mr. Lucky), age 82, passed away February 7, 2025, peacefully surrounded by family at his current residence in Statesville, North Carolina. Tony was born to Larry Graten Millsaps and Myrtle Barber Millsaps in Cabarrus County. He was three times married, accepted the lord at age 12, and was self-employed for nearly 53 years.
He was preceded in death by a son Tony Millsaps Jr, and a sister, Gail Millsaps.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Jeffrey Millsaps of Salisbury, Sondra Millsaps, Daniel Trenton Millsaps of Statesville, Melissa Tucker (Cazzie) of Statesville, Thomas Scott Musick of Texas, Heather Gilreath (Chad) of Union Grove, Michelle Parson of Greensboro, and Marcus Parson of Salisbury.
He is also survived by his brother Floyd Millsaps; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a host of friends; special friend, Suzanne Joyce, whom he shared 23 years of love; and two caregivers, Sirr Caldwell and Ashley Caldwell, who took great care of him in his declining health.
He will be remembered as a free spirit who loved life. While he was alive he enjoyed his passion for racing, shooting pool, and working hard. He never met a stranger and was loved by many who will always remember his carnival treats and his love of people.
A graveside service tor Mr. Millsaps will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, at West Lawn Cemetery in China Grove.
