Three Charged Following Stabbing Incident in Iredell County

During the investigation into a stabbing incident on March 29, 2025, the Criminal Investigations Unit conducted numerous interviews with involved parties and witnesses. These interviews led to the issuance of warrants for those involved in the incident.

Jerry Wright, 58, of Catawba, was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, as well as Simple Affray. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office served the warrant, and Wright received a secured bond of $10,000.

Joshua Wright, 36, of Mooresville, was charged with Simple Affray. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office also served this warrant, and he was released on an unsecured bond of $1,500.

Additionally, a warrant was obtained for Dustin Loftin, 36, of Troutman, on a charge of Simple Affray. Service of this warrant is still pending.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather information and process evidence related to the incident.
