In the early hours of June 23, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling along Oswalt Amity Road in Troutman. The vehicle was driven by Ashley Wike, 40, of Taylorsville.
During the course of the stop, officers reported developing probable cause to search the vehicle. The search resulted in the discovery of several baggies containing methamphetamine. Following the discovery, Wike was taken into custody.
She has been charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. After her arrest, Wike was brought before a magistrate and issued a bond of $20,000.
