Upon arrival, deputies located a white Cadillac Escalade matching the description provided in the report. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Zalepka detected the odor of marijuana and observed a loaded handgun in plain view on the driver’s side floorboard.

Authorities stated that the items found were consistent with the sale and delivery of narcotics.

Houston was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and appeared before Magistrate Callejas, who found probable cause for multiple charges. A secured bond of $50,000 was issued.

In addition to the new charges, Houston had two outstanding Orders for Arrest in Iredell County related to felony drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, three misdemeanor probation violations, and driving while license revoked.
