Statesville, NC – The City of Statesville has announced a temporary closure of W. Water Street as part of the ongoing Waterline Replacement Project.
Beginning Monday, August 4, 2025, W. Water Street will be closed to all traffic from N. Meeting Street to N. Center Street. The closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, August 22, 2025.
Detour routes will be established to help redirect traffic around the construction zone. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and plan alternate routes in advance.
The project is part of the City’s continued efforts to upgrade critical infrastructure and improve water service reliability for residents and businesses.
