The repair is prompted by signs of subsidence in the roadway, suggesting potential underground voids or damage to the storm pipe, which could affect roadway stability and public safety.
Contractors will use Deep Soil Injections with polyurethane foam to strengthen the area. This method helps fill voids, improve soil strength, reduce erosion, and seal cracks in the storm system. The injections will follow a pattern of about seven points per side, starting on the north side of the street and moving southward.
Motorists are advised to anticipate minor delays and to drive carefully through the area during the scheduled work.
