A Statesville woman is facing multiple charges following her arrest over the weekend in Newton. According to reports from the Newton Police Department, 40-year-old Khristina Eve Blackwood, a resident of Sagebrush Road in Statesville, was taken into custody on Sunday, April 27.
Blackwood has been charged with identity theft, financial card theft, and obtaining property by false pretense. Details regarding the circumstances of the alleged offenses have not been released at this time.
Following her arrest, Blackwood was booked into the Catawba County Detention Facility. Her bond was set at $5,000. She remained in custody as of Monday morning.
