Statesville Man Sentenced in Iredell County Drug Case

Statesville, NC – A Statesville man has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison following his conviction on drug-related charges in Iredell County.

Randall Carr, 45, pleaded guilty to trafficking in opium or heroin and six counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine. He was sentenced to 70 to 93 months in prison and was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.

Carr’s arrest followed an investigation by the Statesville Police Department, which was initiated in response to citizen complaints regarding illegal drug activity at an address on Glade Street. Investigators conducted surveillance and undercover purchases of crack cocaine before executing a search warrant on February 6, 2024.

During the search, officers seized nearly 30 grams of cocaine, 105 dosage units of oxycodone, and 11 grams of marijuana. Additionally, U.S. currency and drug paraphernalia were confiscated.

Carr is currently serving his sentence at Piedmont Correctional Institution in Salisbury. Authorities have not released further details regarding potential co-conspirators or additional investigations linked to the case.
