Pedro Aguirre Jr., 28, of Craft Lane in Statesville, has been arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile, according to information released by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began on November 20, 2025, when deputies received a report accusing an adult male of sexually assaulting a child. The case was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, which specializes in crimes involving minors and vulnerable individuals. Detectives identified Aguirre as the suspect and moved forward with the collection of evidence.
Following the investigation, authorities obtained felony arrest warrants charging Aguirre with two counts of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult and two counts of indecent liberties with a child. He was taken into custody on December 5 by sheriff’s deputies and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Aguirre is being held under a $500,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 29. Further details regarding the victim have not been released in order to protect their identity.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional information coming to light as the case progresses.
