A Statesville man is facing multiple felony charges following his arrest in Alexander County last week.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office reported that 44-year-old Jason Nathaniel Lambert was arrested on Friday, August 22. He has been charged with two felony counts of breaking and entering and two felony counts of larceny after breaking and entering.

Lambert was transported to the Alexander County Detention Center, where he was placed under a $15,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for September 15 in Alexander County District Court.

Breaking and entering, as defined under North Carolina law, involves the unlawful entry into a building without the owner’s consent, often with the intent to commit a crime such as theft. The additional charges of larceny after breaking and entering indicate that property was allegedly taken during the incidents.

Authorities have not disclosed the specific locations or circumstances surrounding the reported break-ins but confirmed that the investigation remains active. The Sheriff’s Office stated that further details could be released as the case progresses.

Lambert’s arrest adds to a number of recent property crime cases under investigation in the region. Local law enforcement agencies have continued to encourage residents to secure their homes, outbuildings, and vehicles, and to promptly report any suspicious activity.
