The City of Statesville Electric Utility is preparing to launch a new Outage Management System (OMS) in fall 2025, aiming to improve communication with customers during power outages.
The system will introduce several new features, including a real-time outage map, text notifications with outage and restoration updates, and faster communication between the utility and its customers. City officials say the upgrade is designed to make outage response more transparent and efficient.
As part of the system rollout, the city is asking electric utility customers to update their contact information. Accurate phone numbers and email addresses will be essential for receiving outage alerts and real-time updates once the OMS goes live.
This request applies specifically to customers served by the City of Statesville Electric Utility.
To update contact information, customers can:
- Visit www.statesvillenc.net and click “Update My Info” under Quick Links. A utility billing number is required to complete the form.
- Call Customer Service at 704-878-3564 and select Option 7.
- Provide updated information in person at the Customer Service office during bill payment.
City officials encourage all utility customers to update their information as soon as possible to ensure they are prepared for the OMS launch this fall. The system is part of a broader effort to create a more connected and responsive public power service in Statesville.
