STATESVILLE — City officials provided updates Tuesday morning regarding a power outage affecting thousands of customers across Statesville.
As of 7:22 a.m., city crews were on scene at a substation and actively making repairs. Officials estimated power restoration would take approximately 30 minutes at that time. Earlier in the morning, approximately 3,700 customers were reported without power. Statesville Public Power crews were dispatched to assess the situation, though no estimated restoration time was initially available.
City officials thanked residents for their patience as crews worked to safely restore power and said additional updates would be provided as more information became available.
