The City Council of Statesville, North Carolina, will hold a called meeting and conduct a public hearing to consider the proposed nomination of the Garfield/Green Street Historic District to the National Register of Historic Places.
The proposed district is generally bounded by South Center Street, Lincoln Street, Newton Avenue, Old Salisbury Road, and the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Statesville, Iredell County. If approved, the designation would recognize the area’s historical and cultural significance at the national level.
Residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting and share their input.
