State Offers $25,000 Reward in 1992 Murder of 13-Year-Old Isis Denise “Dee Dee” Dawkins

Governor Josh Stein announced today, October 13, that the State of North Carolina is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the 1992 murder of 13-year-old Isis Denise “Dee Dee” Dawkins.

Dawkins was reported missing by her mother on July 5, 1992, after last being seen two days earlier. On July 28, 1992, the remains of a young girl were found in the South Fork River in Brookford. The remains were later identified as Dawkins on August 14, 1992.
