Significant progress is being reported on the South Yadkin Pump Station Replacement project in Statesville. The traveling screen has been installed, and all electrical equipment is in place. According to the contractor, high voltage power installation is scheduled for this week, with major power wiring expected to be completed by mid-October.
The contractor also stated that the pumps are expected to ship around mid-October. Recent photographs show conduit being routed to key components, as well as the traveling screen now in position.
Officials note that the project remains on track, with further updates to be provided as work continues on this critical piece of infrastructure for the Statesville community.
