STONY POINT – Authorities have arrested 31-year-old Bryan David Hall of Johnny Martin Lane in Stony Point on misdemeanor charges of assault by pointing a gun, simple assault, and assault by communicating threats.

Hall’s arrest follows the earlier charging of his father, 60-year-old James Henry Hall, in connection with the same incident on Thursday, February 6. According to Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell, investigators reviewed video footage of the shooting, which reportedly took place at the residence shared by both men.

Bryan Hall is currently being held at the Alexander County Detention Center, where his father also remains in custody under a $75,000 secured bond. Bryan Hall is scheduled to appear in District Court on March 24, while James Hall has a court appearance set for Monday, February 10, in Taylorsville.

The investigation is ongoing. Sheriff Pennell stated that at least two other individuals were present at the time of the shooting. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
