Select Lean Cuisine and STOUFFER’S Frozen Meals Due to Possible Contamination

Arlington, Va., March 17, 2025 – Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall of select Lean Cuisine and STOUFFER’S frozen meals due to the potential presence of wood-like material. The recall affects a limited number of batches of specific products produced between August 2024 and March 2025 and distributed at major U.S. retailers from September 2024 through March 2025.

The affected products include Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry, and STOUFFER’S Party Size Chicken Lasagna. No other Lean Cuisine or STOUFFER’S products are impacted by this recall.

Nestlé USA initiated the recall following consumer reports, including one potential choking incident. Consumers are advised to check batch codes on the packaging before the best-before date. The specific recalled batches include:

STOUFFER’S Party Size Chicken Lasagna (96oz)

Consumers who purchased the recalled products should not prepare or consume them. They may return the items to the retailer for a full refund or replacement. Those needing further assistance can contact Nestlé USA at (800) 681-1676, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.

Nestlé USA is investigating the source of the contamination and has stated that this appears to be an isolated incident. The company is working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) throughout the recall process.

Nestlé emphasized that product quality and consumer safety remain its top priorities and apologized for any inconvenience caused by the recall.
