Second Vehicle Fire Today Closes Lanes on I-77 Northbound in Mooresville

Mooresville, NC – For the second time today, a vehicle fire has disrupted traffic on I-77 in Iredell County. A tractor-trailer fire on I-77 northbound near mile marker 34.8 has caused significant delays. The incident occurred at the bottom of the Exit 35 off-ramp, blocking lanes 2 and 3, as well as the off-ramp itself.

Three of four lanes are currently closed, and officials anticipate a high impact on traffic. Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes and use caution when traveling through the area.
