Statesville, N.C. — The City of Statesville has announced that Macon Drive will be closed at Kenmore Drive beginning Monday, June 2, at 7:00 a.m. to allow for the replacement of a stormwater pipe beneath the roadway.
City Stormwater Division crews will carry out the infrastructure work, which is expected to continue through Friday, June 6, at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Detour routes will be in place using Museum Road and Beverly Drive. Motorists are advised to follow posted signage, plan for possible delays, and exercise caution in the area.
City officials expressed appreciation to residents for their understanding as efforts continue to improve the stormwater system in the neighborhood.
