STATESVILLE, NC – The City of Statesville has announced that a section of Brookdale Drive, located north of Carolina Avenue in front of the North Carolina DMV, will be closed from August 27 through September 2, 2025. The closure will remain in place around the clock to allow for construction activities.
Detour Information:
For vehicles traveling north on Brookdale Drive and needing to access Thomas Street:
• From Brookdale Drive, turn left onto Carolina Avenue North.
• Continue on Carolina Avenue North and turn right onto Thomas Street.
Detour signage will be posted at major intersections to help direct traffic around the closure.
City officials ask drivers to allow extra travel time when moving through the area and thank the community for its patience and cooperation during the project.
