CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers used their No. 8 draft pick to select Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, opting to boost their offense with a proven playmaker rather than trade down.
McMillan, standing at 6-foot-4 and 219 pounds, brings size and athleticism to the Panthers’ receiving corps. Over three seasons at Arizona, he showcased consistent production, including 90 receptions for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns in his second year. Last season, he added 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns.
Known for his big-play potential, McMillan averaged 16.1 yards per reception over his college career. He credits his explosiveness—shaped by a background in volleyball and basketball—as an underrated aspect of his game.
With a 34-inch vertical and 10-inch hands, McMillan gives quarterback Bryce Young another tall, athletic target, joining last year’s first-round pick, Xavier Legette.
