One Charged in Monday Bomb Threat, Detectives Seek Second Person

On Monday morning, February 17, a male subject called in a bomb threat to McDowell County Communications involving the McDowell County Courthouse.

Yesterday afternoon, the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office located a suspect in connection with that threat. Christopher Jaren Forney, 30, of Marion, was taken into custody and charged with felony False Bomb Report Regarding a Public Building. He has been denied bond.

An arrest warrant has been issued for an additional suspect connected to the incident, David Russell Cash, 28, of Marion (pictured in the second photo below).
