The local gathering will begin at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Statesville Civic Center at the intersection of East Front and South Center streets. The event is expected to feature several speakers, including Ashley Bell, a declared Democratic candidate for North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. Organizers describe the event as a nonpartisan effort open to participants from across the political spectrum.
