Mooresville, N.C. — Drivers traveling on Interstate 77 through Iredell County should prepare for significant overnight traffic impacts due to scheduled maintenance work.
A moving lane closure will take place in both northbound and southbound directions on I-77 between mile markers 30.5 and 37 in Mooresville. The work will affect right, left, and ramp lanes as crews perform nighttime maintenance.
The closures are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. and continue through Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. The work will occur nightly between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) expects a high impact on traffic during these hours and advises drivers to plan alternate routes or allow extra travel time.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the area and to follow posted signs and instructions from traffic control personnel.
