NCDOT to Host Public Meetings on I-77 South Express Lanes Project

by | Nov 6, 2025

The N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the N.C. Turnpike Authority are inviting the public to attend one of two upcoming meetings to learn more about the I-77 South Express Lanes project. The meetings will provide information about planned improvements along I-77 South, including the addition of express lanes, reconstruction of interchanges and non-interchange bridges, and new access points — with three proposed direct connections between the express lanes and local cross streets.

Community members will have the opportunity to review project materials, speak with members of the project team, and share feedback. Public input is an important part of the planning process and will help shape the final design to ensure the project meets local needs.

The same information will be available at both sessions, and attendees can stop by at any time during the meeting hours.
