Work continues this month along the Highway 150 corridor as part of the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s widening project between Interstate 77 and Highway 21.
According to NCDOT, crews are focusing on several key tasks, including storm drainage installation, dirt hauling and grading, and relocating water meters. Construction is also underway on small retaining walls and major fill work near the Chick-fil-A area.
In addition, a temporary traffic signal is being set up, and wall construction is beginning at the I-77 bridge.
The Highway 150 widening project is part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and safety in the area as development and daily traffic continue to increase. Motorists traveling through the corridor are advised to use caution and remain alert for changing traffic patterns as work progresses.
