On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, narcotics investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 219 Cumberland Road, south of Statesville, with assistance from deputies across multiple divisions.
The investigation began after citizen complaints about suspected drug activity at the residence. Undercover officers conducted surveillance and identified Cameron Max Burleyson as a suspect. Investigators say they were able to purchase marijuana from Burleyson at the home.
Following these controlled buys, investigators secured a search warrant. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized drugs to be over $166,000.
Felony warrants have been issued for Burleyson, including charges of trafficking marijuana, trafficking opiates, and maintaining a residence for drug activity.
Sheriff Darren Campbell thanked citizens for their assistance, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in disrupting illegal drug operations.
