The City of Statesville’s Municipal Operations Center remains on schedule for occupancy by mid-June, with steady progress being made across the site. One of the most recent milestones includes the installation of new signage on the facility’s buildings. The signs are now prominently displayed, helping to identify the new hub and showcasing the City’s pride in the modern, centralized complex.
The project has advanced through key phases over the past month. The Vehicle Maintenance Garage (VMG) and Public Power Building were both on track for occupancy in early May, while work on the Warehouse continues toward a planned completion in early June. The final topcoat of asphalt has been installed across the site, and parking spaces at the VMG and Public Power buildings have been clearly striped. In addition, perimeter fencing is now 99% complete, marking one of the final exterior tasks on the project checklist.
City officials note that the Municipal Operations Center is designed to streamline operations and improve efficiency by consolidating multiple municipal departments into one location. The modern facility is expected to serve the growing needs of the community and support a wide range of city services.
A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the center will be announced in the coming weeks. Additional updates will be provided as the project enters its final stages and prepares to welcome staff into the new space.
