Mooresville Woman Arrested on Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

Troutman, NC – A traffic stop on Charlotte Highway in Troutman on January 27, 2025, resulted in the arrest of a Mooresville woman on multiple drug-related charges.

Officers conducted the stop for a traffic violation and spoke with the vehicle’s owner and passenger, Carly O’Grady, 23, of Mooresville. During the interaction, O’Grady was asked if she had any narcotics or illegal items, to which she admitted. A subsequent search revealed she was in possession of both methamphetamine and cocaine.

O’Grady was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle for the transportation of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was placed under a $2,500 secured bond and remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
