On Monday, April 21, the Town of Mooresville began the mill and overlay portion of its FY25 Street Resurfacing Project, weather permitting. Work started in the Morrison Plantation subdivision and may impact nearby residents and businesses.
The process includes milling, which removes the top layer of worn asphalt, followed by applying a new layer. Residents are asked to:
- Remove parked vehicles from roads between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Keep children and pets off newly resurfaced areas
- Avoid using sprinklers, washing cars, or any activity that wets the pavement
