Mooresville Seeks Applicants for Historic Preservation Commission

MOORESVILLE – The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is seeking new members to fill several mid-term vacancies, with appointments scheduled to be made during the Board of Commissioners meeting on February 17, 2025.

The HPC plays a key role in ensuring compliance with the Town’s Historic Preservation Design Standards, helping to maintain and protect Mooresville’s historic character. Prospective members should have a demonstrated interest, experience, or education in fields such as history, architecture, archaeology, or related disciplines.

The commission is looking for applicants who reside within both the Town limits and its Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 413 North Main Street.
