Mooresville, N.C. – The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has announced the closure of Commerce Park Road starting today, February 26, as part of a $34.8 million infrastructure project aimed at widening 1.18 miles of Brawley School Road between Interstate 77 and U.S. 21. The project also includes improvements along U.S. 21 from Dry Dock Loop/Vandalia Road to Abberly Green Boulevard.

Lane Construction Corp., the contractor overseeing the project, will close Commerce Park Road at 8 a.m. on Wednesday to install a 24-inch sewer line. The closure is expected to last approximately four weeks. While access to businesses will remain open, other traffic will be directed along a detour route via Brawley School Road to U.S. 21 South before returning to Commerce Park Road.

Drivers are advised to remain alert, use caution, and reduce speed while traveling through the work zone. For real-time traffic updates, visit DriveNC.gov or follow NCDOT on social media.
