Mooresville Police Seize Fentanyl, Arrest Local Man in Drug Investigation

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The Mooresville Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on January 29, 2025, at a residence located at 508 McLelland Avenue as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

During the search, detectives seized 30.8 grams of powder fentanyl, including 144 pressed fentanyl pills disguised as Oxycodone. Authorities also confiscated 40 grams of marijuana and $1,664 in cash.

As a result of the investigation, Markeith Kane Phifer, 30, of Mooresville, was arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses, including:

  • Trafficking Schedule I Controlled Substances
  • Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substances
  • Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substances
  • Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substances
  • Felony Possession of Marijuana
  • Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep/Sell Controlled Substances

Phifer was taken into custody and is being held without bond. The investigation remains ongoing.
