The Mooresville Police Department will take part in this year’s National Faith & Blue Weekend, a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
MPD is inviting residents to attend several local events designed to foster connection, safety, and trust:
- Friday, October 10, 8:30–10 a.m. – Coffee with a Cop at Richard’s Coffee Shop, 165 N. Main Street.
- Saturday, October 11, 9–11 a.m. – Shred Event at the MPD lower parking lot, 2847 Charlotte Highway. Residents are encouraged to bring sensitive documents such as medical records, tax forms, bank statements, pay stubs, documents containing Social Security numbers, and credit card statements for secure disposal.
- Saturday, October 11, 2–4 p.m. – Community Picnic at Peninsula Baptist Church, 687 Brawley School Road.
The department encourages community members to participate in these events as an opportunity to connect with officers, discuss community concerns, and build stronger partnerships.
