Mooresville, NC – On April 25, 2025, officers with the Mooresville Police Department responded to the Waterlynn subdivision following a report regarding explicit material involving children allegedly found on a subject’s electronic devices.
The department’s Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and made contact with the reporting party. Officers confirmed the presence of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and arrested 33-year-old Miles Reid Morgan. A search warrant was executed at Morgan’s residence, and additional electronic devices were seized for further examination.
As a result of the investigation, Morgan was charged with 10 counts of Second-Degree Exploitation of a Minor and 10 counts of Third-Degree Exploitation of a Minor. He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and received a $1.2 million secured bond.
