Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 55-year-old Douglas Paul Mashburn of Eastridge Lane in Mooresville on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
Mashburn is charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen goods, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On August 30, 2025, deputies responded to a reported residential break-in on East Barkley Road in Statesville. The homeowner told deputies that several items had been stolen and provided security camera footage showing a man unlawfully entering the residence.
Investigators identified the suspect as Mashburn and discovered that some of the stolen property had been pawned locally. That same day, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Mashburn’s vehicle, where they located burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Because Mashburn was already out on bond for unrelated charges, he is being held without bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for September 22.
