On June 7, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m., officers located a Nissan Pathfinder in the parking lot of 1023 Charlotte Highway that had been reported stolen to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement made contact with the vehicle’s driver, identified as Steven Floyd, 37, of Mooresville. Floyd was taken into custody at the scene. During a search conducted prior to his transport to the detention center, officers reported finding methamphetamine and a concealed weapon in his possession.
Floyd was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was also served with an outstanding warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
A magistrate issued an $8,500 secured bond, and Floyd was placed in custody pending further proceedings.
