Mooresville Man Arrested for Alleged Violation of Sex Offender Supervision

MOORESVILLE — Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers arrested 32-year-old Brittain Lee Nichols of Forum Drive in Mooresville on charges of felony sex offender supervision of a child violation.

The investigation began on December 1, 2025, when the Sheriff’s Office received a report that a registered sex offender might be training juvenile employees at a local business. Authorities identified the individual as Nichols.

Investigators conducted interviews with witnesses and reviewed personnel and training records from the business. The investigation revealed that Nichols had been directly involved in training juvenile employees.

Based on the evidence, an arrest warrant was issued. Nichols was taken into custody on December 5 and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 29.

The investigation remains under the supervision of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Division.
