Statesville, NC – The City of Statesville’s annual loose-leaf collection program is set to begin Monday, October 20, starting in Area 1. This area includes neighborhoods south of West Front Street and west of South Center Street and Shelton Avenue, such as Beechnut, Bristol Road, Wilson Lee Boulevard, and the Wallace Springs Road area.
The program provides residents with an opportunity to have leaves collected directly from the curbside. City officials remind residents to rake leaves to the curb but not into the street, and to avoid placing leaves near storm drains, mailboxes, or vehicles. Sticks, rocks, and other debris should be removed from leaf piles to help prevent equipment damage and ensure efficient collection.
