by | Jul 22, 2025

With the filing period officially closed, the field is set for the upcoming 2025 municipal and school board elections in Iredell County. Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 4, to elect local leaders across a variety of towns and school boards.

This year’s elections include mayoral and council races in several municipalities, as well as school board seats for the Mooresville Graded School District. All races are nonpartisan and will be decided by plurality—meaning the candidate with the highest number of votes wins, regardless of whether they receive a majority.
