Iredell County — A portion of northbound I-77 near Mile Markers 41 to 43, just north of Troutman and near Exit 42 (US 21/Charlotte Highway), will be under nighttime construction beginning Thursday, August 7.
According to transportation officials, the left lane will be closed for road maintenance. One of two lanes will remain open during the work.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and will continue through 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9. The work will take place continuously throughout this timeframe.
Traffic impact is expected to be high, and drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes or allow extra travel time.
